GetPlayerSerial

From Gothic 2 Online: Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Returns a unique id that identifies one copy of the game and therefore a certain user. This comes in handy when you want to store persistent information about a certain client. Since the serial is a reliable uid to identify a client, you could for example use it to store data in some database, using the serial as primary key for table row access.

Syntax

bool getPlayerSerial(int pid)

Required Arguments

  • pid: The id of the player.

Example

local playerSerial = getPlayerSerial(pid);
print(format("Player with serial %s", playerSerial));
